JV Allusion (aka Luka) competed in the Canadian Championships with his owner Bob Gielen. He placed 5th in the 50 mile division. 

 
Bob purchased Luka in September of 2005 as an untrained endurance prospect. Luka then moved across Canada to New Brunswick where Bob trained and conditioned him. The ride took place in Quebec in 2006 on a very wet and rainy day. After the first vet check Luka pulsed down like a pro. Bob said that he rode very conservatively as it was Luka's first long distance ride. Luka also competed in 2- 25 mile Competitive Trail rides as well as 2-15 mile rides with a ton of training miles this year. Luka and Bob did an excellent job in placing fifth. JV Allusion (Opuss X JV Moriya) will continue to excel in competitions I am sure. Congratulations again guys and Happy Trails.
