A Stay at Home Dad!

George Town (simply known as George) has become a huge part of the breeding program at the Jay Vee Ranch.  This young stallion has an impressive and demanding look.  He is very correct, displaying superb motion and agility.  A great length of neck and a refined poll gives him balance - his overall intelligence and trainability defines him as a breeding horse. We feel that his “get” are only going to get better. In 2005 we tested this young stallion by breeding him to one of our best producing brood mares, Silver Sade, a straight Crabbet import.  We were so excited over the outcome (JV Penny Lane), that  George soon became a “stay at home dad”.  His successful, albeit brief, show career was cut short to allow him to pasture breed several of our very best brood mares.  We were totally amazed at how gentle he could be with the girls.  The 2007 foaling season has been everything we thought it would be so please look at the babies under FOALS.
